I remember playing cheesy elearning games whereby I've to clear stages by using my knowledge in Science. But what many games are lacking is that the relevance is too subtle. The storyline doesn't link, my previous knowledge doesn't affect how the next level progresses. But it is nice to see with gamification and how people really sit down to discuss about mechanics in place, elearning softwares are gearing towards giving players/users an experience instead of just info-feed .

Thanks for this list. I'd like to suggest a blog that I co-author about language learning and games - http://www.digitalplay.info/blog - we post practical ideas for teachers as well as commentary and interviews, etc. We also have a methodology book coming out for teachers (also called Digital Play) in Spetember, published by Delta Publishing, in the UK

Learnalot (www.learnalot.com) provides game-based learning resources for maths for students aged 11-16.

Your resources are excellent - the best skills-based learning resources for maths I've seen.
- Melanie Blount, NGfL-Cymru

The look of the site has immediately caught the interest of pupils who I know love to spend time on X-Box/PlayStation at home. Harnessing an existing interest for a learning purpose is probably the Mecca of education. I would love to know if you might have plans for a KS2 version at some stage?
- Steph Ladbrooke, teacher

Great website for revision especially for me and I'm in year 11. Amazing website!
- Alex, student

Wow, great list - I could spend hours digging from here. Thanks for this and the other blog posts I come back to.
I'd add two white papers from The Education Arcade: http://educationarcade.org/node/370
And you might also want to check out (if you haven't already) a non-profit that colleagues of mine have put together, the Learning Games Network: http://www.learninggamesnetwork.org/index.php?/site/game-developers
