I could really use an iPad in my ESL classroom. If they Apple ever gets past the multi-tasking capability, I would definitely buy one and test using it in my ESL classroom. I could really use it in so many different ways, it has my head spinning with ideas.

Thanks for you thought Manish; as Kevin mentioned, only time will tell what Apple will do with the iPad and it's features and how the workplace L&D community might adopt it for learning in their organizations. Let's wait and watch...

Based on my experiences with iPhone and from the limited info I have about iPad:
1.	How do you save and transfer documents to the iPad? Can you?
No easy way here. There are iPhone apps that let you tinker around the kernel and file system but those are for geeks. I would think this might be easy for Apple. After all, it syncs songs, movies, photos, IE Bookmarks etc. using iTunes. Apple could very well extend the same method to sync other files. That will surely make iPad (and iPhone) more usable. Let's see what Apple does about it.

2.	Does it support a variety of email systems? Lotus or MS Exchange?
iPhone supports MS Exchange so I am assuming iPad will too. You can sync Exchange contacts and calendar with iPhone. It doesn't synch Notes very well. Maybe it is Lotus maybe it is Apple, not sure.

3.	Does it support a media service other than iTunes?
Nope. No Flash either.

4.	Does it support multitasking? Can I run more than one program?
How I wish this was possible. I believe this is one of the biggest weaknesses in iPhone/iPad. It's a shame really that such a fine piece of hardware doesn't support multitasking.

5.	Will it ever allow the use of Flash? While there’s been a lot of talk both ways, I’d still like it, lots of content out there is in Flash.
It's been more than two years since we've been waiting for Flash on iPhone. I am not sure why Apple doesn't allow this. I agree with the Apple bashers on this one (and the lack of multitasking).

Like the iPod, I think that the iPad will be a game changer. I imagine playing chess on it, reading a book, reading my newspaper/magazine. All these are things I want to do sitting in a comfortable chair, with little to no heat in my lap, holding something light and easy to look at. Despite the criticisms, some deserved, it will be a highly popular device among both those of us who are travel freaks and computer nerds as well as many who today don't use a computer at all. I have heard many older people saying they would find it convenient and non-intimidating. Obviously, time will tell.
