Anniversaries are a good time to reflect on what’s been achieved and plan for the year ahead. We celebrated our 6th Anniversary on 7th April, 2010, and I realized that Upside Learning had come a long way since its inception in early 2004. We started this company with a passion for delivering innovative and effective learning solutions and I think we have achieved that to some extent. However, it is only fair to say that it’s a moving target and we strive to synch with it. The learning solutions landscape continues to evolve rapidly with new tools and understanding about the human learning process itself. Some areas that interest us at Upside Learning are Mobile Learning solutions, the possibilities of Augmented Reality/Virtuality helping with performance support, a chance that tablets (like the iPad) will influence workplace learning, and various social media tools entering the workplace. Such developments add great excitement to the domain and promise to make our future so much more fun and exciting.

Personally the journey so far has been enriching and satisfying, although it’s been challenging at times. I take this opportunity to thank our readers for their continued patronage. We’ve had several important milestones in these six years, put in a presentation by our fine marketing folk.
