Red Herring has announced Upside Learning Solutions Pvt. Ltd. a winner of the Red Herring 100 Award, a selection of the 100 most innovative private technology companies based in Asia. The Red Herring editorial board surveyed the entrepreneurial scene throughout Asia and identified the top 100 amongst 1,000 closely evaluated companies that are leading the next wave of innovation.

Upside Learning has been ranked 16th in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 India 2008 program, and 125th in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific 2008 program. These programs, conducted by Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, Asia Pacific, recognize the fastest growing technology companies in India and the Asia Pacific region on the basis of their percentage revenue growth over the past three years.

October 29th 2008 – Red Herring Magazine announced today that Upside Learning Solutions Pvt. Ltd. has been short listed as a finalist for the Red Herring 100 Asia 2008 awards. The 100 winners will be announced at the Red Herring 100 Asia event in Hong Kong, on December 2–3, 2008.

Upside Learning’s flagship product, UpsideLMS, has taken only a little over three years to cross the 100,000-user mark. This powerful, web-based, standards-compliant Learning Management System (LMS) can be installed as a hosted service or a behind-the-firewall implementation. Easily customizable to suit each organization’s learning processes and needs, UpsideLMS has been installed at over 25 locations worldwide and is capable of supporting a high concurrent load of users.

Over the weekend of June 30 and July 01, we shifted from our Koregaon Park offices into new, larger premises in Warje, off the Pune-Bangalore highway. Our new office is spread out over 2 floors covering a total area of 14,000 square feet. We now have a combined seating capacity of 300, which is about three times that of our previous workplace.

In less than 3 years, Upside Learning has crossed the 100-employee milestone. Our growing business has led to a steady increase in the number of employees in both Content and Technology Solutions; and with bigger teams, our HR & Admin and Systems Support teams have also increased in size.
