Convergence of Technology and Training in the Multi-device world at LSCON 2015!
The latest 2015 digital device stats shows that for the 40,000 Internet users surveyed across 32 countries in the Americas, EMEA and Europe, 91% of the users (aged 16-64) personally own a desktop or laptop and a smartphone with nearly half of them owning a tablet. Welcome to the multi-device world!
Multi-device usage today has expanded to the length, breadth and depth of human population with almost all daily activities being carried out across a wide range of devices depending on the context of use and time of the day amongst other factors. So is the expectation for learning. The multi-device world demands a seamless experience that encourages learners to access learning, anywhere and anytime on the device of their choice. For learning solution providers like us, it makes ‘responsive/ multi-device’ an essential part of the approaches we use to design, test and deliver effective eLearning.
However new devices, multiple screen sizes, and OS-browser combinations, keep adding new challenges and demanding innovative solutions. With technological advancements and the growing demand for consistency and fluidity across multiple devices, the push for an all encompassing solution has never been more.
