- Compliance Training
For most organisations
The way compliance training is being conducted is giving eLearning and overall L&D a bad name. It’s literally spoiling the L&D brand. Organizations need their employees to undertake many digital learning initiatives over their employment tenure for varied business objectives, starting with compliance training. Unless these interventions are designed to engage, the training activity itself ends up leaving a bad impression for employee experiences that follow, jeopardising future learning outcomes.
We at Upside Learning believe that compliance is about habit formation rather than recalling a rule when questioned about it. To that extent a standalone ‘training’ can make only a limited impact.
As we celebrate 15 years of delivering great learning solutions that deliver business impact, we take this opportunity to nudge the L&D community to Go Beyond and explore greater possibilities towards making compliance training and all other learning initiatives more engaging for learners.
To help the L&D team we have created a few resources that will help them design engaging compliance training programs.
This eBook addresses some critical aspects of impactful learning experiences that focus on the bigger picture in terms of the interplay between organizations’ and employees’ perspectives towards this mandatory training.
If you’re looking for a starting point towards revisiting compliance training, this eBook is for you.
With 56% of organisations reporting that a lack of learner engagement is hindering the success of compliance within the business, it is clear that something needs to be done to highlight the value of these programs to learners in order for them to engage with the content and retain the information.
This cutting-edge report explores the root issue surrounding the lack of learner engagement with compliance; individuals not seeing the value in the content.
There are few words that will make corporate learners tune you out more quickly than "compliance” or “mandatory." That’s a negative connotation we have to remove in our corporate culture – some to most organizations view compliance training as a check-the-box mentality with no regards for people’s time and priorities. Do most people still, when they get assigned eLearning, click to the end without reading the content whatsoever? Believe it or not, it is still happening today.
Let’s be part of a push to remove this psychological block and do what’s best for our organizations.
