From The Director's Desk

With mLearnCon 2011 concluded less than a month back, it’s only obvious that the mLearning flavor spills over into this issue of our newsletter too.

For over two years now, we have not just been hearing about mobile learning but also actively understanding and working on it. We have created micro courses, quizzes, games, mbooks, videos, Augmented Reality apps and mobile apps for smartphones, non-smartphones and other mobile devices, spanning various platforms like Symbian, Android, Blackberry, iPhone etc.

And adding momentum to this was the launch of our revolutionary platform for mLearning - Upside2Go. Within a span of 6 months, since its launch in the US and the UK market, it has won appreciation for its innovativeness and effectiveness, specifically in addressing needs of mobile workforce, from some of the biggest corporates.

But with rapid emergence of new technologies and the ever changing nature of learning, it is imperative that the mobile learning systems evolve accordingly.

Here
we cover three key themes around which the features in any mobile learning system would coalesce.
First Impressions

mLearnCon 2011 Exposition

Last month saw us participating in mLearnCon 2011, an annual mobile learning conference and expo organized by eLearning Guild, held in San Jose, CA. It was interesting to be at the event as an exhibitor, interacting with visitors to our booth and also being able to closely look at the other products and technology at work from the other exhibitors.

While the direction in which mobile instructional technology is heading isn’t quite certain yet, some trends are pretty clear. We spill the beans on the event, trends and more here.
